Sticking to me insect theme-these moths were a fascinating phenomenon to watch every evening at sunset in Namibia.

Even though I don’t consider myself a nature photographer. My first glance at a creature is one of interest but it is after hearing more about their characteristics and life cycle when I really become intrigued.

These little flying creatures, some kind of moth, although not exactly beautiful in the exotic butterfly sense became a major point of interest for me in Namibia because of interaction with light.

Rumored to live only 48 hours-they have a lot of get done in a short amount of time and you can image the jokes that fly around that topic.

Captivated by this scene I looked around to find the trees dripping with strings of these creatures.  Hundreds of thousands of these little guys were clinging together in birth, life and death. This is one of those situations where death truly can be beautiful.
