Day 82-Free day

It is nice to have a day off from themes.  I had grandiose ideas of being able to shoot something that would really show off my creativity and skill, but  as with most days, freedom and creativity are both limited.

A quick stop into a kitchen store with my brother, Jordy, gave me just a bit of a break that allowed me to create this image. I am not much of a cook at all nor do I have any desire to be one but who doesn’t love a good kitchen store with all the color tools and shiny objects.

Day 39-Abstract

image I have been looking for abstracts for days. Not for this project but for a course revision I have been put on for work. Students will read a poem and then learn to use Adobe Premiere Pro by adding stock video and stills to it. The big wigs have chosen iStock and Fololia to find the images.

The sites are great if you are looking for straight forward images for your newsletter, website or simple commercial but if you want something a bit abstract or just off beat forget about it. I have spent hours looking for a simple out of focus image that is predominately yellow.

I have thought of creating my own images and selling them to use because I have been so frustrated with the lack of content. How hard can it be to find  a few abstract image on a stock site that can be interpreted in a variety of different ways.

Well, not that hard if your Christmas lights are still up.
