religion
I know that Buddhism is a wonderful religion and I hope to get in a place where I can focus on bringing it more into my life.
Right now, I have my hot pink, fuzzy buddha bank that a good friend bought for me to remind me of where I hope to be some day. Another friend, hid some money in it for me and let me know when I hit a rough patch.
This little friend is a great symbol of religion, spirituality, friendship and art for me.
Our family went to church on Sundays but at some point when our (Blair and I) complaining became to much and we were old enough to stay home on our own we didn’t have to go any more except for the obligatory Easter and Christmas service.
I am still working on my belief system and realize I am in need of a serious “spiritual makeover”.
But with the passing of my mother I can only believe that she is in a much better place smiling down on us and protecting us. The streets might not be paved with gold but I know there is no suffering where she is.
I rejoice in the vision of her flying with the angels.
